Tour of the Biblical City of David

We walk back in time and in history to the beginning of Jerusalem as a small village and trace its evolution into the capital of the world. We will pass through the time tunnel to a place where kings were crowned and prophets admonished their people. This is the place where many of the stories from the period of the First Temple took place.
Route Information
Pick up from Ashdod Port at 08:00 a.m. (time may be changed depending on anchoring time). Arrive at the City of David's Visitors center. The tour includes a panoramic view of the surrounding area, an impressive 3D audio-visual show, Dr. Mazar’s Palace Excavation (an impressive structure from the period of the Judean kings), the Royal Acropolis (Area G) and remnants of remarkable homes from the Biblical Period. The underground water system, the Shiloah Pool, the Herodian Road and the most recently discovered water channel are also included. Walk through an ancient road which the Jewish pilgrims used from the Shiloah Pool to the Temple. Visit the Davidson Excavation and virtual reconstruction center. Finish the tour at the Western Wall and return to Ashdod Port.
